Simplified Integration USB PD Capable Type-C Source IP
This OT9120 is an easy to integrate and configure Type-C source port with Power Delivery.
Overview
This OT9120 is an easy to integrate and configure Type-C source port with Power Delivery. It is delivered as RTL and an Analog Front End hard macro. No processor, software, or external memory is required. Re-uses much of Obsidian’s mature and widely used Type-C logic and analog IP. The IP controls the power supply directly. An external IP is available for clock generation which does not require chip pins. Also a voltage and current reference IP for use when this not availble in the design. Standard current and voltage PDOs are supported, but may be altered with a serial port. Power supply PS_CTL outputs and control an attached power supply directly, either through resistors or connection through logic as required.
