PVT Sensor IP
A PVT Sensor IP core is a hardware monitoring module that provides real-time measurements of process variations, voltage levels, and temperature across a chip. These measurements enable designers to:
- Adjust operating frequency and voltage dynamically
- Detect and mitigate thermal hotspots
- Monitor silicon process variations affecting performance and yield
- Enhance power efficiency and reliability
Key features of PVT Sensor IP include:
- On-Chip Temperature Sensing: Accurate monitoring for thermal management and dynamic voltage/frequency scaling (DVFS)
- Voltage Monitoring: Tracks supply variations to prevent under-voltage or over-voltage conditions
- Process Variation Detection: Helps optimize performance and yield across different manufacturing lots
- Low Power and High Accuracy: Optimized for SoCs, mobile, and IoT devices
PVT Sensor IP is pre-verified and fully compatible with SoC design flows, enabling fast integration and reliable operation.
