Dolphin Integration puts in the public domain a unique freeware for evaluation of Standard Cell libraries
Meylan, France – June 22nd, 2009 -- Dolphin Integration announces the release of Motu Uta, a flexible logic circuit designed for being representative of complex logic designs. With Motu Uta, the benchmarking process of standard-cell libraries is not only objective but also fast!
Assessing the comparative performances of truly different libraries in a trustable way is a tricky endeavor as it deals with statistical issues and design styles. As the promoter of Reduced Cell Stem Libraries (RCSL) Dolphin Integration had to address the challenge of assessing the comparative performances of truly different libraries. Standard Cells users can now take advantage of Motu Uta for evaluating the performances of any offering on the market (standard cells, power islets, register files…) for general purpose logic blocks, representative of most of circuitry!

The method to assess performances with Motu Uta logic standard consists in performing synthesis, placement & routing on the same circuit per the various means to be compared.
With Motu Uta, the company expects to speed-up the introduction of its innovative libraries of standard-cells and to help its potential users to reach in the shortest lead-time a conclusion on the benefit of its library stems versus contenders.
Motu Uta is designed for easy extensions to address any odd type of circuitry. Dolphin shall ensure these extensions while maintaining the Freeware status of Motu Uta.
Users can click on the link from Dolphin Integration website to freely get access to the evaluation kit holding: one tutorial, one RTL code, and benchmarking context propositions
