Quintauris Announces Planned Leadership Transition
Company enters next phase of growth with planned evolution of executive leadership
Munich, Germany -- July 7, 2026 -- Quintauris today announces a planned leadership transition, under which Alexander Kocher will step down from the role of CEO to continue to support the company in a strategic advisory capacity.
Since the company’s establishment, Alexander has played a key role in shaping Quintauris’ direction, helping position the company as a central enabler within the global RISC-V ecosystem, fostering collaboration among leading semiconductor companies and industry partners and translating a shared industry vision into concrete technology initiatives.
Following this transition, Pedro Lopez will assume the role of CEO, effective June 29. He will work closely with the leadership team and shareholders to continue advancing Quintauris mission of enabling compatible RISC-V-based platforms and strengthening industry collaboration. Pedro Lopez and Ozgur Ozkurt are appointed Managing Directors of Quintauris GmbH, with Ozgur continuing as CTO.
“The shareholders would like to thank Alexander Kocher for his leadership and contributions in establishing Quintauris and building a strong foundation for the company,” said Benjamin Sokolowski Managing Director, Vice President Government Relations at Qualcomm, on behalf of Quintauris Shareholders. “This transition reflects a well-planned evolution, and we remain fully committed to the company’s strategy and confident in its continued progress.”
During his tenure, Alexander led the company through its early growth, establishing partnerships with leading semiconductor companies and setting the strategic direction for Quintauris’ technology and ecosystem initiatives.

“Leading Quintauris during its formative stage has been an extraordinary experience,” said Alexander Kocher. “The company is well positioned for its next phase, and I am confident that the team will continue to drive innovation and collaboration across the RISC-V ecosystem.”
Pedro Lopez brings extensive experience in the semiconductor and technology industries and will focus on continuing to scale Quintauris’ initiatives and strengthening collaboration with partners and stakeholders worldwide.
“This is an exciting moment for Quintauris,” said Pedro Lopez. “The company has built a strong foundation under Alexander’s leadership, and we look forward to continuing to work with our partners to accelerate the development and adoption of RISC-V-based platforms.”
“The first phase was about laying foundations the industry could agree on. The next is bigger: enabling RISC-V to meet the harder problems ahead, in a way the ecosystem can sustain as it scales. That is the direction Pedro, and I will be taking forward.” Ozgur Ozkurt, CTO, Quintauris.
The transition reflects a planned evolution aligned with Quintauris’ long-term strategy and commitment to supporting the growth of the global RISC-V ecosystem and developing RISC-V profiles and reference architectures for automotive, industrial and IoT applications.
