IBM sees 28% growth in ICs

SAN JOSE, Calif. - IBM Corp. posted mixed results amid growth in its IC business.
For IBM, total revenues for the third quarter of 2010 of $24.3 billion increased 3 percent from the third quarter of 2009.
Third-quarter net income was $3.6 billion, compared with $3.2 billion in the third quarter of 2009, an increase of 12 percent. IBM announced third-quarter 2010 diluted earnings of $2.82 per share, compared with diluted earnings of $2.40 per share in the third quarter of 2009, an increase of 18 percent.
