Hsinchu, Taiwan -- December 30, 2009 -- Innopower Technology Corporation (Innopower), a wholly owned subsidiary of Faraday Technology Corporation(TAIEX:3035), today announced, effective immediately, that it has been granted as the sole IP distributor of Faraday. Innopower will promote Faraday IP solutions in world-wide region and provide the front-line support for customers. Innopower is to play the role that has been developed as a part of Faraday's IP development and IP business. With Faraday's extensive industry experience and strong IP offering, Innopower will facilitate its customers' success and solid growth. Innopower will further offer competitive solutions for foundries, IDMs and fabless customers with its flexible and customized business model.
For the effective integration of Faraday resources and IP market exploration, Faraday has mapped out plan for Innopower to monitor in depth foundry solutions, application and market trends. Such plan is to utilize Innopower's advantage gained through its development in leading-edge technology, and enhance the cooperation in IP business and service, toward the achievement of the long-term objective.
In addition to expanding its core IP business, Faraday has extended its business scope from the development of essential IPs, such as cell library, memory compiler, I/O(including special I/Os) to advanced functional IPs, including DDR II/III, Ethernet, USB3.0, SATA II, PCIe...etc. With this expansive offering and comprehensive solutions, Faraday enables SoC designers to leverage its IP strength with high reliability to succeed. Many customers are now applying Faraday's most popular high density cell-library- MiniLibTM and the advanced memory compiler with low power design-PowerSlashTM to bring a better differentiation for their products.
Innopower's IP are now available in many foundry processes. Customers including foundries, IDMs, and fabless houses are working with Innopower to develop IPs in various processes. "Innopower will continue to provide high quality and comprehensive IP solutions, especially in advanced nodes such as 40nm and 65nm, to the customers with strong production support to reduce the time to market." said Meisie Jong, VP of Sales and Marketing at Innopower.
About Innopower Technology Corporation
Founded in 2008, InnoPower aims to provide competitive semiconductor intellectual properties (IP) for foundries, IDM's and fabless design companies. While still young as a separate legal entity, it leverages past development experience, extensive automation capabilities and acquired patent portfolio to offer advanced silicon IP's. These products are highly differentiated and most of them are production proven. InnoPower also has a strong engineering team with established industry track record and highly innovative. The initial product offering focuses on the fundamental libraries (standard cells, memory compilers and I/O's) but will be expanding to special I/O's and functional IP's (such as USB, PCIX) in the near future.
