Enea Demonstrates OSE Support for Texas Instruments OMAP at ARM Developers Conference
SANTA CLARA, Calif.--Oct. 3, 2005--Enea, the world leader in advanced device software, today announced that it will be demonstrating its OSE(TM) real-time operating system (RTOS), development tools and board support packages (BSP) for Texas Instruments' OMAP(TM) platform at the ARM Developers' Conference. Enea's OSE was the first RTOS to support OMAP's ARM and DSP cores, and is the only RTOS that offers a single API for developing robust, scaleable, multimedia-enhanced applications for OMAP's ARM and DSP cores.
On Tuesday, October 4, at 4:00 p.m., in Room 204, Dr. David Kalinsky, director of customer education at Enea Embedded Technology, will be conducting a session titled, "Asymmetric Multiprocessing Gets RTOS Support for ARM Processor-based Multi-Core Systems." In this session, Kalinsky will examine the pitfalls of traditional Symmetric MultiProcessing (SMP) for embedded real-time applications. He will then introduce a new approach to distributed multiprocessing known as Asymmetric Multiprocessing (AMP) that provides superior scaleability, real-time response and fault tolerance. Dr. Kalinsky is a popular lecturer and seminar leader on technologies for embedded software in North America and Europe.
