Lead Tech Design unveils its brand new range of microcontrollers for embedded applications
-- LEAD TECH DESIGN, which specializes in the design of ASIC/FPGA System-on-Chip (SoCs) and embedded software for Linux and Linux hard real time with Xenomai, is extending its offering with aRDAC, a brand new range of configurable microcontrollers, guaranteeing performance of 1 MIPS/MHz.
This new product family has been specially designed to meet the constraints of all applications requiring high processing capabilities while enabling significant reductions in energy use.
aRDAC is compatible with a wide range of applications, such as home automation, consumer electronics, M2M or even electronics for the medical, automotive and aeronautical industries.
Microcontrollers from the aRDAC range are available in 8-bit, 16-bit and 32-bit versions and are based on Harvard architecture. They offer outstanding code density, an optimized core size (13K gates in the 32-bit version), and low power consumption. Featuring a memory capacity of up to 4 Gbytes, aRDAC is designed for ASIC and FPGA integrated circuits.
With aRDAC, customers have the advantage of a built-in development environment (IDE Eclipse, GCC compilator). They can therefore easily migrate from one architecture to another, and switch from an 8-bit microcontroller to a 16- or 32-bit one. An expert support team guides customers in their choice of microcontroller and assists with microcontroller integration in the end product.
The 32-bit aRDAC has been tested in real conditions on a WiFi video streaming application, by our customer Firstmile Telekom. “Lead Tech Design’s aRDAC solution enabled us to implement high performance video streaming in under two weeks. We are delighted to have been able to take advantage of its significant innovations”, explains Aziz Bouab, CEO of Firstmile Telekom.
The aRDAC microcontroller family is an ideal and cost-effective innovative solution for System-on-Chip, combing high performance, service quality and cost reduction
