NetSpeed Systems expands presence in Taiwan through partnership with Maojet Technology
San Jose, Calif., May 3, 2016—NetSpeed Systems Inc., the supplier of on-chip network IP that is streamlining SoC design, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with Maojet Technology to provide local front-line sales for NetSpeed’s products in Taiwan.
In response to growing demand for NetSpeed’s IP in Taiwan, NetSpeed has opened operations in Taipei and has hired Maojet Technology as its authorized distributor. Dedicated support will be provided through NetSpeed personnel in Taipei.
"Taiwan is the third-largest semiconductor manufacturer in the world, which makes it very exciting as more and more leading manufacturers there embrace NetSpeed's IP," said Sundari Mitra, CEO and co-founder of NetSpeed. “To keep up with customer demand and the growing opportunities in Taiwan we felt it was important to establish a local presence for sales and support. With its proven track record, Maojet was the obvious choice for our sales partner.”
“Taiwanese SoC companies are expanding into new areas – Automotive, IoT, etc. NetSpeed’s IP not only offers the optimal power and performance profile for these new markets; it also dramatically reduces design time,” said Ted Tsai, founder and CEO of Maojet. “With the addition of NetSpeed’s IP to our portfolio of products we now have an exciting solution that fully addresses the functionality, performance, power, security, and cost requirements of system on chips (SoC) for architects and designers in Taiwan.”
