ARM Retains Services Of FastCompanyBrazil And The Expertise of Jose Scodiero To Facilitate Stronger South America Presence
Local industry expert chosen to expand ARMâs global footprint in South America
Cambridge, UKâ September 15, 2010 - ARM today announced they have retained the services of FastCompanyBrazil to streamline their business development initiatives in South America. The founder of FastCompanyBrazil, Jose Scodiero, will lead the activities in an advisory role to establish stronger alliances with local dignitaries and ARMâs system on chip (SoC) design partners. Jose Scodiero has over 25 years in the high tech industry specializing in South America business development. During his tenure he has held executive roles in leading corporations including IBM, Apple, Telxon, Oki Data and most recently AMD as vice president of business development, South America.
Brazil has become the 8th largest economy in the world and is forecasted to be one of the worldâs top five superpowers by 2030, according to Goldman Sachs. ARM is contracting with FastCompanyBrazil to accelerate their presence in this emerging market and identify opportunities to expand their global footprint. In addition they are leveraging a local industry expert to strengthen their business and government relationships in the region.

FastCompanyBrazil will provide local management and support to accelerate ARM business development in the region. These services include:
- Early engagement with local companies to develop strategic initiatives to to ensure ARM processor based designs become an integral part of the regional silicon eco-system
- Establish a steady stream of local communications educating the regions on the benefits of ARM technology
- Facilitate stronger relationships with the local government to accelerate the adoption of ARM IP to fuel the development of advanced SoC designs in the region.
- Act as a local point of contact for the global ARM partners that have a regional office. This list includes Texas Instruments, NXP Semiconductor, ST Microelectronics and Freescale.
