Aplus Flash Technology has signed an agreement with IDT about 0.35um HiEE
San Jose, CA, August 10, 2010 - Aplus Flash Technology - a privately-held, US-based fabless provider of Nonvolatile memory (NVM) IP and products - announced that it has signed an agreement with Integrated Device Technology (IDT) to license Aplus’ patented 0.35um HiEE™ proprietary technology for its use in its mixed signal semiconductor devices.
The design of this contracted EEPROM IP covers Aplus’ most advanced patented HiEE™ proprietary technology, which is optimized for broad, embedded byte-alterable data storage applications, such as MCU, printer, smart-card, SIM-card, e-Passport, RFID, and Green data center. Aplus’ 0.35 um 2P3M customized emEE (embedded EEPROM) IPs are based on high-quality, FLOTOX-based EEPROM technology for high-endurance (1M-cycle), high temperature (-40C-85C+) and a wide-VDD working environment. By adding Aplus' leading on-chip programmable and erasable HiEE IP to IDT's existing emEE portfolio, IDT can provide better service and faster time-to-market to their worldwide customers for designing world-class emEE products.
Dr. Henry Ma, Aplus' General Manager and VP of IP sales, states, "We are pleased to add IDT to our roster of IP clients. IDT is a leader and innovator of essential mixed signal semiconductor solutions, and this clearly demonstrates the wide recognition of Aplus' proprietary emEE design expertise in the highly-competitive emEE IP markets.”
Aplus’ emEE IPs are available from several leading foundries worldwide including Global Foundry in Singapore and SMIC in Shanghai, China.
