China sales drive for Silicon Valley IP innovator

We’ve been appointed by Akeana – a Silicon Valley-based pioneer in next-generation RISC-V processor IP – to lead a business development initiative for the company in China.

Headquartered in Santa Clara, Akeana develops advanced RISC-V-based computing and accelerator IP for complex, data-driven applications across the automotive, datacentre and high-performance computing (HPC) sectors. Following a recent $100 million fundraising round, the company is now ramping up its global expansion.

Akeana’s portfolio includes highly configurable, cost-efficient processor cores that allow customers to create customised chips optimised for their needs. Its multi-threaded processor cores are designed to handle multi-faceted, simultaneous tasks – essential for applications such as low latency AI processing, networking/packet processing, sensor fusion and autonomous vehicle data processing.

As the world’s largest RISC-V market and the producer of a third of the world’s vehicles, China is a critical strategic focus for Akeana – so it has engaged our Shanghai team to spearhead its entry into this dynamic economy.

We’ll enable the company to make its official China debut at RISC-V Summit China in Shanghai – one of the world’s leading RISC-V events – from 16–19 July. At the event, we’ll help connect the company with potential customers, partners and developers across China’s automotive and semiconductor sectors.

Following the Summit, our team will roll out a full-scale business development programme including in-depth market analysis, targeted partner and customer introductions and support for Akeana at other industry events.
