H.264/AVC 4K 60p High Profile Decoder

H.264/AVC is a video compression/decompression Standard standardized by ISO/IEC in 2003, and since then, it has been used in a wide range of fields including digital cameras, surveillance cameras, and broadcasting equipment. Nowadays, in order to downsize the equipment, reduce the costs, and consider the environment, there is a need for smaller encoders and decoders with low power consumption.

TMC has developed a compact, low-power encoder/decoder that maintains high image quality and performance.

Specification

This IP supports both color spaces of YCbCr and YUV.

• Supports up to 4K 60fps processing.
• Up to 4K30fps processing is possible on FPGA. (e.g. Arria10 series, Kintex Ultrascale(+) series, with support for devices from Lattice, Efinix, and Microchip)
• The AXI Bus is equipped as standard for external memory access for easy integration.
• Based on elemental technologies that have been used in the digital cameras for many years, we have successful results in high image quality and low power consumption.

• TMC's DMNA (Digital Media New Algorithm), our original mathematical algorithm, drastically reduces the total amounts of calculations & operations, and realizes high-speed processing, high-quality image output, and low power consumption.
