12-bit DAC

Overview

The TI-12DAC is a 12-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) with guaranteed 12-bit monotonicity performance within the automotive temperature range. The DAC operates with a single 1.8 V power supply and external reference voltages. There is an option of using internal or external current source. The lower 8 bits of digital-to-analog conversion are implemented as the R-2R Ladder, while the upper 4 bits are implemented as the Thermometer (Fully-Decoded) DAC. This combination allows to obtain 12-bit resolution, requiring only ensuring of accuracy of each part: 8-bit R-2R DAC and 4-bit potentiometer DAC.
