Qualitas Semiconductor Signs MIPI IP Integrated Solution Licensing Agreement with CoAsia SEMI

SEOUL, South Korea – September 10, 2026 –  QUALITAS SEMICONDUCTOR CO., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Qualitas") (KOSDAQ: 432720), a leading provider of high-speed interface IP solutions, announced today that it has signed a MIPI Sub-system IP licensing agreement with CoAsia SEMI.

Under the agreement, Qualitas Semiconductor will supply a MIPI Sub-system that integrates a MIPI D-PHY TX/RX, a MIPI CSI-2 Controller RX and a MIPI DSI-2 Controller TX into a single solution.

The agreement is significant in that Qualitas has established a supply structure at the sub-system level. When PHY and controller IP are adopted separately, subtle differences in specification interpretation or detailed configuration between the two can create compatibility issues from the early design stage, often requiring additional time and engineering resources for interface verification and root-cause analysis. In contrast, a sub-system supply provides a pre-verified PHY–controller configuration, significantly reducing the integration burden. This improves signal transmission efficiency while lowering system design complexity and development risk, ultimately accelerating time-to-market. Building on a MIPI IP portfolio proven in mass production with multiple customers, Qualitas has steadily expanded its supply structure from standalone PHY IP to fully integrated sub-system solutions.

As the Physical AI market — in which AI operates within physical environments such as robotics, autonomous driving, and smart factories — continues to expand, vision interfaces capable of transmitting high-resolution images with low latency are becoming increasingly important. Demand for MIPI Sub-systems is expected to grow steadily across humanoid robots, industrial vision systems, and automotive display applications that require cameras and displays to operate simultaneously.
