Brite Semiconductor Releases TCAM IP based on 28HKC+ Process

Shanghai, China — May 27, 2025 — Brite Semiconductor (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (BriteSemi, 688691), a leading provider of custom ASIC and IP solutions, today announced the launch of Ternary Content-Addressable Memory (TCAM) IP developed on 28HKC+ 0.9V/1.8V platform. This IP has the features of high frequency and low power consumption. With the increasing demand for efficient lookup in network devices, such as fast processing of routing tables and Access Control Lists (ACLs), this IP will be widely adopted in chips for high-end switches, routers, etc.

The TCAM IP includes in-house developed Bit cell, matching logic design rules, and avoids process violation so it has the features of high yield and high reliability. It adopts hierarchical match line for low power design, saving approximately 30% of power consumption. It supports a working speed up to 800MHz, enabling fast lookup. Additionally, with its high flexible design, customers can compile TCAM cells of different sizes according to their needs.

BriteSemi’s TCAM IP has successfully taped out, and passed the function test and performance test for silicon-proven on 28HKC+ process.
