Altera Files Patent Infringement Suit Against Zilog
SAN JOSE, Calif.-- August 5, 2008 -- Altera Corporation today announced it has filed suit in the Federal District Court for the Eastern District of Texas against Zilog, Inc. for patent infringement.
The lawsuit alleges that some of Zilog’s newest products, including the Zilog eZ80F91 MCU series and ZNEO CPU Z16F series, infringe various Altera® patents. Altera is seeking monetary damages, an injunction and attorney’s fees.
