In an economic downturn, this becomes abundantly clear, but it’s true in an upturn as well.
Every company wants to be number one.
Every company wants to have the greatest market share.
Every company is willing to play outside of the rules from time-to-time to get that done. Even your partners will steal from you, usurp your value-add, undermine your profit potential. You know how it’s done. You’ve probably done it yourself.
In the final analysis, capitalism American style, is “eat or be eaten, kill or be killed.” And that’s been exported, outsourced and off-shored all over the world.
