Patriot Scientific Chairman Retires
CARLSBAD, Calif. - February 13, 2008 - Patriot Scientifictoday announced the resignation of David H. Pohl as its chairman of the board and as a member of its board of directors. In his letter of resignation, Pohl said that his resignation was the final step in a withdrawal process that began when he retired as CEO of Patriot Scientific in June of 2007. Pohl went on to write that his resignation from the board would make his retirement complete and would provide him with the freedom to spend more time on personal and family matters.
Commenting on Pohl's resignation, Jim Turley, Patriot's CEO, said "The entire board of Patriot Scientific Corporation is deeply appreciative of the many contributions David has made to the success of the company during his years of service as an officer and as a director. He was successful in guiding Patriot through the challenges it has faced in establishing profitability through its current intellectual property licensing program and in several changes of management. His steady hand on the tiller will be greatly missed."
