MIPS Technologies Joins the MIPI Alliance to Support Standard Interfaces for Mobile Handsets
Driving Fast Time-to-Market for MIPS Licensees Developing Mobile SoCs
SUNNYVALE, Calif. - December 7, 2010 - MIPS Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for digital consumer, home networking, wireless, communications and business applications, today announced that it has joined the MIPI Alliance as an Adopter Member. The goal of the MIPI Alliance is to establish specifications for standard hardware and software interfaces in mobile devices, and encourage adoption of those standards throughout the mobile ecosystem. By joining the MIPI Alliance, MIPS Technologies is supporting these standards to speed its customers' mobile SoC development.
