Overview

The LogiCORE™ IP Spartan-6 GTP Transceiver Wizard automates the task of creating HDL wrappers to configure the on-chip GTP transceivers on Spartan-6 devices. The Wizard’s customization GUI allows users to configure one or more high-speed serial transceivers using either pre-defined templates supporting popular industry standards, or from scratch, to support a wide variety of custom protocols.

Key features

  • Creates customized HDL wrappers to configure high-speed serial transceivers in 7 Series FPGAs
  • Predefined templates support these protocols:  CPRI™, DisplayPort, Gigabit Ethernet, High-Definition Serial Digital Interface (HD-SDI), Open Base Station Architecture Initiative (OBSAI), PCI EXPRESS ® (PCIe ®) generation I, Serial RapidIO, 10 Gb Attachment Unit Interface (XAUI), Aurora 8B/10B, Serial Advanced Technology Attachment (SATA) 1.5 Gb/s, and SATA 3 Gb/s
  • Automatically configures analog settings

Resilience in Space: Designing Radiation-Tolerant Systems

Space is easily the most challenging environment for IC designers. Without Earth’s atmosphere to protect them, electronic systems are vulnerable to high-energy (ionizing) radiation including alpha and beta particles, gamma and x-rays as well as galactic cosmic radiation.
