TAKUMI starts licensing new Warping IPs “TW270” and “TW290”
A new lineup of Right-Sizing products, offering an optimal balance of size and performance –
July 7, 2026 -- TAKUMI Corporation (Head Office: 4-3-6 Shiba, Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Osamu Shigenami) today announced the start of licensing for two new Warping IP (Distortion correction IP) products, TW270 and TW290.
TAKUMI’s Warping IP is a hardware IP series that enables real-time processing of various types of distortion correction and image transformations, leveraging the expertise gained through its GPU IP, “GSHARK-TAKUMI,” which has shipped in over 100 million units through its customers’ SoCs.
The newly released TW270 and TW290 are “Right-Sizing” IP products optimized for functionality, performance, and size based on the TW330, which is currently available for licensing.
While the TW330 is a full-specification product capable of supporting high resolutions and high frame rates without limitation, TW270 and TW290 focus on delivering sufficient performance and essential functionality, resulting in reduced silicon area and lower power consumption. In addition, TW270 and TW290 adopt the same 2nd generation Warping architecture as TW330, inheriting its proven reliability and user-friendly functionality based on licensing experiences. This enables customers to flexibly select the most suitable product in terms of size, performance, and features according to their specific applications and system requirements.
