Kilopass Announces 90nm On-Chip Embedded Non-Volatile Memory IP for SoC Designs Using General Purpose and Low Power Standard Logic CMOS
For the First Time, Applications Requiring High Density Logic NVM on Advanced Semiconductor Processes Have an Embedded NVM Solution
SANTA CLARA, CA--Jul 24, 2007 -- Kilopass Technology Inc., the semiconductor industry's leading embedded non-volatile memory (NVM) intellectual property (IP) supplier and pioneer, today announced that their XPM (Extra Permanent Memory) IP products are now available for advanced 90nm general purpose and low power designs. With the availability of the XPM-90G(TM) and XPM-90LP(TM) families, Kilopass takes a leadership role as the first memory IP supplier to announce availability of a high density NVM technology on both general purpose and low power 90nm advanced geometries.
The XPM-90G and XPM-90LP families support both general purpose and low power processes and applications requiring high performance and/or low leakage.
"Kilopass is committed to being the first to provide our customers with silicon-proven, non-volatile memory IP in the most advanced standard CMOS process technologies," said Bernie Aronson, the company's CEO. "Being the first to offer silicon proven high density NVM solutions in both general purpose and low power 90nm processes is evidence of the advantages intrinsic to our technology."
With ever increasing demands for quick time-to-market solutions and low cost embedded NVM IP, Kilopass has risen to the challenge and introduced customer-proven NVM solutions that meet broad, leading edge application requirements. The new product families extend Kilopass' leadership role in the embedded NVM with a very high density standard logic CMOS technology that scales to high bit capacities and advanced process geometries.
More about XPM
Kilopass' silicon-proven, low cost and highly secure XPM(TM) memory technology offers the benefits of field programmability of NVM implemented in standard-logic CMOS processes, including 180 nm, 130 nm and 90 nm. Targeted SOC applications include: Digital Rights Management (DRM), High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (DHCP), encryption keys, electronic security, mixed-signal trim and calibration, memory and pixel repair, encryption keys, firmware parameters, hardware configuration and (secure) boot code storage.
XPM-90G and XPM-90LP Evaluation Kit Availability
Customers with 90nm embedded NVM requirements may request a free XPM evaluation kit by contacting Kilopass.
