Proven semiconductor business leader to provide solid leadership, operational excellence and outstanding experiences for Imagination's customers.
February 9, 2026 -- The Board of Directors of Imagination Technologies (“Imagination”) today announce the appointment of semiconductor industry leader Markus Mosen as the company’s new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.
Ray Bingham, Executive Chairman of Imagination says:
“The Board is committed to growing Imagination into the defining semiconductor IP provider for graphics and AI at the edge – and this starts with ensuring that the company has the right leadership. Markus joins us with a proven track record of scaling international semiconductor businesses and has deep insight into the markets that matter most to Imagination. He is the perfect candidate to take Imagination into its next chapter.”
Markus Mosen, newly appointed CEO of Imagination says:
“It’s a privilege to join Imagination at this moment. The company has a long-held reputation for semiconductor innovation, and its ambitious technology roadmap for graphics and AI at the edge promises to continue this tradition.
“Imagination already has a strong customer base across diverse markets, and a world-class engineering team. My job will be to accelerate its growth by providing solid leadership, operational excellence and an outstanding experience for customers. I am very excited to get started.”
Imagination is a global company headquartered in the UK and an early pioneer of computer graphics hardware, with an extensive portfolio of foundational patents. The company licenses its graphics processing unit (GPU) designs to chipmakers across consumer, industrial, computing and automotive markets. In 2025, over 250,000,000 devices shipped with Imagination intellectual property (IP) inside.
Mosen joins Imagination with extensive experience leading high-growth semiconductor businesses. Over the past decade, Mosen built and scaled WeEn Semiconductors, a successful bipolar power technology start-up. Prior to this, he served as Vice President at NXP Semiconductors, and held Vice President and General Manager roles at Infineon Technologies Asia Pacific.
Mosen succeeds Imagination’s interim CEO, Didier Lamouche, who will revert to being a non-executive Director on the Board. The Board thanks Lamouche for his service during the interim period.
