ChipAgents Expands Series A Funding to $134 Million as Demand Grows for Agentic AI in Semiconductor Design
Additional $60 million Series A follows 6x increase in ARR and rapid deployment to more than 120 semiconductor companies.
- ChipAgents has expanded its Series A financing to $134 million with an additional $60 million to support the company's next phase of growth and continued investment in its autonomous semiconductor design platform.
- The funding follows strong commercial momentum, including 6x annual recurring revenue (ARR) growth in the first half of 2026 and more than 120 deployments at semiconductor companies, as one of the industry's largest commercial deployments of agentic AI for chip design and verification.
- ChipAgents' autonomous AI platform helps semiconductor companies automate complex design and verification workflows, reducing design cycles by over 50%, improving engineering productivity, and accelerating time-to-market.
- The company will use the funding to scale customer deployments, grow its engineering and go-to-market teams, and accelerate product development to meet rising global demand.
SANTA CLARA, Calif.-- July 29, 2026 -- ChipAgents, the category leader in agentic AI platforms for semiconductor design, announced an additional $60 million in Series A2 financing, bringing the expanded round to $134 million just six months after its initial Series A close. The financing reflects continued investor confidence in the company’s commercial momentum, with new investor B Capital joining Bessemer Venture Partners, Micron, MediaTek, Ericsson, ScOp, and other existing investors.
This financing follows a strong first half of 2026, during which ChipAgents saw 6x growth in ARR and deployed to more than 120 semiconductor companies including MediaTek and Micron. Today, the company has established one of the industry's leading autonomous platforms for chip design and verification.
The funding will support ChipAgents' next phase of expansion as the company scales customer deployments, grows its engineering and go-to-market teams, and accelerates development of its AI-native semiconductor design platform. Since its founding in 2024, the company has raised more than $134 million.
"ChipAgents has demonstrated the rare combination of breakthrough AI innovation and exceptional commercial execution," said Daisy Cai, General Partner, B Capital. "As semiconductor design grows increasingly complex, engineering teams need AI that can execute meaningful portions of the workflow, not simply assist with coding. ChipAgents has translated cutting-edge AI research into a platform that customers are deploying in production, and we believe the company is well positioned to define the next generation of semiconductor engineering."
"Semiconductor engineering teams face rising pressure to deliver more sophisticated designs in less time," said Henry Huang, Investment Director, Venture Capital at Micron. "ChipAgents is addressing that challenge by enabling engineers to automate advanced design and verification work, accelerate design timelines, and improve engineering productivity. We're excited to continue supporting the company's growth as autonomous AI becomes increasingly essential across the semiconductor industry."
"We are always looking for companies that solve meaningful challenges," said Brian Hsu, Managing Director of MediaTek Innovation Fund. "ChipAgents is spearheading this transformation of AI chip design and verification with a reliable solution that well harnesses the diversity of design workflow and delivers measurable gains in real-world production. We believe it is uniquely positioned to define the next generation of AI-native semiconductor development."
ChipAgents applies domain-specific AI agents to semiconductor design workflows that have historically relied on manual engineering. Unlike AI copilots that assist engineers with individual coding tasks, ChipAgents' specialized agents can independently plan and execute complex design and verification workflows, compressing engineering tasks that once required months or weeks into days or hours.
"As the industry deals with the simultaneous pressures of increasing architectural complexity and time-to-market pressure, semiconductor companies need solutions that increase productivity, shrink time-to-market, and minimize the risk of design flaws," said William Wang, CEO and Founder of ChipAgents. “We’re enabling the industry to move beyond AI assistants toward autonomous agents that can execute meaningful engineering work. Our customer growth shows that semiconductor companies are ready for that shift, and this financing allows us to bring that capability to even more engineering teams."
ChipAgents' AI-native platform helps semiconductor companies scale engineering productivity through autonomous AI agents that automate complex design and verification activities. By moving beyond traditional AI copilots to agents capable of executing multi-step engineering tasks, the platform reduces manual effort, accelerates chip development, and shortens time-to-market for increasingly complex semiconductor designs.
