CebaTech Changes Company Name to Altior

New Name Reflects the Company's Evolution as a Solutions Provider of HW/SW System Platforms and Announces a Major Design Win

EATONTOWN, N.J., July 19, 2011  -- CebaTech, Inc., an innovative developer of advanced network and storage embedded systems solutions, announced today that it has changed its name to Altior™, Inc. Altior is Latin for "Higher", which reflects the Company's progression from offering Intellectual Property (IP) cores to offering embedded solutions that significantly boost system performance. Reflecting on the new name, the company is pleased to announce that a pioneer in the wide area network (WAN) optimization market has selected Altior's AltraFlex™ Platform Solution for their high-end network appliance.

Under the agreement, the customer will design - in the AltraFlex Platform Solution - an FPGA-based PCIe-enabled subsystem card. The design-win is based on results that enabled the customer to achieve enhanced performance that offers them significant competitive advantage. This included an impressive reduction in CPU utilization, which resulted in a decrease of the number of CPU cores needed compared to the original design. In addition, the AltraFlex Platform Solution dramatically decreased power consumption, which made the appliance ideal for green data centers. With an immediate cost-savings in the Bill of Materials (BoM) due to reduced CPU core count, the AltraFlex Solution generated an immediate ROI. The significantly decreased power consumption also made the AltraFlex Platform Solution the clear choice in the selection process. Other decisive factors included the solution's ability to allow customers to implement instant, flexible, and cost-effective field upgrades without having to change hardware, and simultaneously easing the after sales service and support effort.
