Analogue Insight Opens Early Customer Engagement for Low-Power 1–32 Gbps NRZ Transmitter and Receiver IP in GlobalFoundries 45SPCLO for Integrated Co-Packaged Optics
IKAIKA45GTX and IKAIKA45GRX IP in GlobalFoundries 45SPCLO support scalable multi-lane links up to 256 Gbps and 512 Gbps; tape-out targeted for Q1 2027.
London, United Kingdom — June 15, 2026 — Analogue Insight announced that its low-power interconnect IP is available for initial customer discussion, evaluation, and customization. Designed in the GlobalFoundries 45SPCLO process, the IKAIKA45GTX transmitter and IKAIKA45GRX receiver are well suited for integrated co-packaged optics (CPO) architectures that combine electronics and photonics on the same die, as well as other advanced high-speed interconnect applications. The company is engaging lead customers now to align the IP to their system requirements ahead of a tape-out targeted for the first quarter of 2027.
Both IP cores support 1 to 32 Gbps per lane and are offered as a matched transmitter/receiver pair or individual macros. With per-lane scalability, the portfolio enables multi-lane implementations and aggregate bandwidth configurations such as 256 Gbps, 512 Gbps and behond depending on system architecture and lane count. The design is optimized for power efficiency, making it well suited to the dense, thermally constrained environments typical of CPO modules and optical engines.
The two products are the IKAIKA45GRX, a 45SPCLO 1–32 Gbps low-power NRZ receiver IP, and the IKAIKA45GTX, a 45SPCLO 1–32 Gbps low-power NRZ transmitter IP. Together they are intended to simplify link bring-up and support symmetric, scalable multi-lane channel designs.
“Co-packaged optics is moving from roadmap to reality, and it demands interconnect IP that is both low power and easy to integrate alongside photonics on the same die,” said Christian Borelli, Chief Strategy Officer of Analogue Insight. “By opening early engagement now, we can tailor the transmitter and receiver to each customer’s lane count, reach, and power budget well before tape-out.”
The baseline design is currently approaching completion reaching 32Gbps per lane, with internal tape-out targeted for Q1 2027 for early customer evaluation and validation. Analogue Insight is accepting engagements now from customers seeking to evaluate the IP or to discuss customization for applications in CPO, silicon photonics, quantum photonics, AI infrastructure, and next-generation optical interconnect systems.
