Arasan Chip Systems Completes UNH Gigabit Ethernet Interoperability Testing
SAN JOSE, Calif. -- March 25, 2008
-- Arasan, a leader in Intellectual Property (IP) solutions - IP cores, Verification IP (VIP), Software drivers and stacks and Hardware solutions, announced today that its silicon proven Gigabit Ethernet IP solution has completed interoperability testing at the University of New Hampshire's Interoperability Lab (UNH IOL). Interoperability tests were preformed with Arasan's hardware development kit and software drivers, ensuring a "Total IP Solution".
"Through participation in multiple testing programs, Arasan continues to demonstrate ongoing commitment to industry standards and multi-vendor device interoperability," said Gerard Nadeau, manager of the UNH-IOL's Gigabit Ethernet Consortium.
10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Solution
The Arasan 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet Solution provides all the components needed for development - IP core, Verification IP, software drivers and hardware development platform. The IP core includes RMM compliant synthesizable RTL for Gigabit Ethernet Media Access Controller (MAC) Core with GMII interface, easy-to-use test environment and synthesis scripts. The core can also support RGMII and SGMII. The IP core provides enhanced programmable features for minimizing application complexity and pre/post message processing. It can be easily integrated into any design project and customized for a native interface or bridging function. A Verification IP for Ethernet is also available to accelerate verification and testing of your system. Software drivers are readily available in Linux and can be ported to a variety of different OS platforms.
"Proving hardware interoperability is key to ensuring that products will function correctly in the real world," said Kevin Yee, Vice President of Marketing at Arasan. "By completing the UNH-IOL testing of Arasan's Gigabit Ethernet Solution, designers can be assured that their Ethernet solution will work correctly with the highest quality product and solution in their system."
Arasan's UNH-IOL report for both Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet is available upon request.
