True Circuits Introduces New Line of High Resolution Clock Generator PLLs
LOS ALTOS, CA -- Sept 23, 2005
-- True Circuits, Inc. (TCI), a leading provider of analog and mixed-signal intellectual property (IP) for the semiconductor, systems and electronics industries, today announced the availability of a new line of Phase-Locked Loop (PLL) hard macros that provide frequency modulation and very high frequency resolution with over 16 bits of control and very low long-term jitter.
This new high resolution PLL design is a high frequency resolution clock multiplier with over 16 bits of control while operating with a high loop bandwidth to produce very low long-term jitter. It delivers optimal jitter performance over all multiplication settings. It can also be configured to provide precise spread-spectrum behavior for system clock EMI reduction.
"Our new line of high resolution PLLs has been carefully engineered with a combination of features that will provide our customers unparalleled implementation flexibility with a single, standardized hard macro," said Dr. John Maneatis, True Circuits' President. "With this revolutionary PLL design, True Circuits has once again raised the bar for high-performance timing IP."
Pricing and Availability
True Circuits high resolution PLLs are available for customer delivery in Q1'06 in TSMC, UMC and Chartered processes from 0.25um to 65nm CMOS processes. The hard macros are available for a per use license fee with no royalty fees. The license fee includes integration support from TCI to ensure a successful customer tape out. The deliverables include GDSII and LVS Spice netlists, behavioral and synthesis models, Library Exchange Format (LEF) files and extensive user documentation.
