Pivotal Technologies receives major customer win from Texas Instruments
Pivotal's SOC subsystems will enable TI to deliver products to market faster
PASADENA, Calif., March 6, 2000-Pivotal Technologies Corp., a leading provider of analog and mixed-signal subsystems for System-on-Chip (SOC) applications, today announced it has received a major customer win from Texas Instruments (TI). TI is utilizing Pivotal's 0.18u Fulcrum[tm] analog and mixed-signal on-chip component products, including the 10-bit, 30 MHz pipelined and calibrated Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC); a 12-bit, 180 MHz Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC); and high-speed CMOS Phase Locked Loop (PLL).

"Providing portions of the design as an SOC subsystem becomes a differentiating factor in this equation," continued Murphy. These blocks are complete, hard IP blocks that once proven in silicon, look more like reusable products that can be assembled on silicon substrate, much the same way packaged products are assembled on PCBs (printed circuit boards)."
