LTRIM Unveils The LTR1803 LDO - A Programmable Output Voltage Regulator
MONTREAL, May 26, 2005 ¡V LTRIM Technologies, an innovative leader in CMOS analog virtual components and laser-fine tuning technologies, today announced the LTR1803 Low Drop Out (LDO) virtual component intellectual property (IP), a programmable-output voltage regulator. The IP, which is based on TSMC 0.25um CMOS process technology, provides designers with the utmost in flexibility as it enables them to adjust the voltage levels to 50mV increments of their initial target design.
¡§The LTR1803 allows designers to compensate for process variations after silicon out,¡¨ said Guy Lemieux, LTRIM President and CEO. ¡§But most importantly, the new LDO enables designers to adjust the output voltage, which not only improves performance it also improves yield.¡¨
The LTR1803 provides unique features for optimal power savings, including programmability features that allow designers to adjust the output voltage to their desired levels in 50mV increments ƒ{ from 0.9V to 3.3V. The IP also includes a low quiescent current and a shutdown capability to further reduce power consumption. Other features include a wide input voltage range of 2.7V ¡V 5V, high output accuracy, small size, and a fast turn on/off time. Performance is guaranteed over the automotive temperature range.
As with all of LTRIM¡¦s high-performance power-management and analog IP, the new LTR1803 LDO can be easily integrated into mixed-signal SoCs and analog ICs for overall bill of materials (BOM) cost savings, higher reliability and performance, and exceptional accuracy.
The LTR1803 LDO is available now in TSMC 0.25um CMOS process technology.
