RedMere Support For HDMI 1.4 Specification
- RedMere, the leader in high-speed chip and cable technology solutions, endorses HDMI Licensing LLC 1.4 Specification announcement and confirms availability of silicon to support new active cables designs for HDMI 1.4. With its RM1689 device family RedMere enables ultra-thin cables for camera and portable applications using the new Micro HDMI (D-type) connector.

The tiny Micro HDMI connector will bring HDMI to video and digital still cameras, smartphones and media players. RedMere is currently working with its global customer base to bring 1.4 compatible cables to the market which are fully compliant with the features of the 1.4 specification and which use its self-powered MagnifEye Active chipset. The company also provides cable reference solutions for support of the new Networking and Audio Return Channel features of the standard.
