Faraday and AST Reach Track Record Production of Over 18 Million Units
Hsinchu, Taiwan and Ra'anana, Israel – June 27, 2011 -- Faraday Technology, a leading ASIC provider and Advanced Semiconductor Technology Ltd. (AST), announced today reaching a track record production of over 18 million ASIC units for a single customer in Israel. Having reached this number and with future production still ahead, it is the largest production volume reached up to now in Europe.
This project was mutually developed by Faraday and AST for a customer located in Israel and has become since one of the most successful ASIC production projects ever recorded in Israel.
Faraday’s highly efficient production flow and manufacturing capabilities enables the customer to reach high volume production due to Faraday's cost effective solution.
“We are very proud to be part of the success of one of the leading ASIC projects ever done in Israel” said Eli Geva, VP of Operations, AST. “Faraday is a real partner who truly and deeply understands the genuine needs of our customers, the market requirements and is willing to offer cost effective ASIC solutions without negotiating its highest quality and reputation”.
