Blick Embraces Live Networked Video to stay ahead of the competition
Major integrator adopts IndigoVision's VideoBridge technology to strengthen CCTV offering
May 9 - 2002 - Blick plc, a global provider of world-class security, communication and time management solutions has selected IndigoVision as its provider of live networked video technology. Blick will incorporate IndigoVision's networked cameras, networked video recorder and networked administration and viewer software into its CCTV and access control product range, bringing the benefits of live networked video to its extensive customer base.
Vanda Murray, CEO, Blick commented: "IndigoVision's VideoBridge technology allows us to differentiate ourselves in a what is a highly competitive market. We can build on our experience with access control and alarms while taking advantage of live networked video".
Blick's NetBuilder application connects disparate security products from remote and local sites, providing central management and the ability to trigger responses from one system to another over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. With IndigoVision's VideoBridge technology, Blick can bring live networked video to their access control and CCTV solutions, enabling remote and multi site viewing including wireless viewing on handheld PDAs.
Julian Knight, head of sales at IndigoVision, commented: "We are delighted to be working with Blick, an industry leader that is 100% committed to IP. Our products fit together perfectly combining progressive technologies in access control and alarm management with IP based CCTV".
Blick is a well-established cross-industry security provider particularly within manufacturing, brewing and local authorities, with some 70,000 clients around the world. This partnership delivers a new range of applications that will allow Blick to further exploit these markets as well as emerging sectors such as retail and banking.
Blick is taking full advantage of IndigoVision's Partner Program for its sales force, which includes technical and sales support, co-operative marketing and advanced training in live networked video. This support will ensure Blick has the tools it needs to take advantage of the rapidly growing global demand for IP video solutions, whilst significantly reducing their time to market.
