Axis Systems Introduces Entry-Level Versions of Xcite and Xtreme Verification Systems Systems
Sunnyvale, CA - January 6, 2003 - Axis Systems, Inc. today announced new, entry-level versions of Xcite™ and Xtreme™ verification systems. Both systems, featuring four ReConfigurable Computing (RCC) processor boards and new software to increase overall performance, are designed to expand the current user base of the world's most efficient verification technology. More than 50 companies currently use Xcite and Xtreme to verify integrated circuits (ICs).
Both the Xcite 2500 simulation accelerator and Xtreme, combining simulation and emulation in a single box, support assertion and behavioral processors, as well as RTL and gate processors. Axis has added extended memory options for Xcite not available in previous versions. The new systems are targeted at design teams working on portable systems-on-chip (SoC) designs.
"The need for efficient, cost-effective verification of complex SoCs is just as important for designers of SoCs below 1 million gates as for our customers designing today's mega-chips," said Michael Young, director of product marketing for Axis. "These new versions of Xcite and Xtreme provide our customers a complete verification suite in a single, unified environment to meet the challenges of complex designs, shorter schedules, and shrinking resources."
