Agilent Technologies Signs Agreement to Acquire AT4 wireless' Test Systems Business
SANTA CLARA, Calif. and MALAGA, Spain -- July 16, 2012 â Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) and AT4 wireless today announced that they have signed a definitive agreement for Agilent to acquire the assets of AT4 wirelessâ Test Systems business. Privately held AT4 wireless, based in Malaga, Spain, is a global provider of testing services and solutions for wireless communications.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by early August, subject to customary closing conditions. Financial details were not disclosed.
The wireless test portfolio from AT4 wireless will enable Agilent to offer its customers an even broader set of test solutions, especially in the rapidly growing LTE market. In addition, the acquisition will expand Agilentâs wireless test footprint by adding NFC/RFID and Bluetooth test solutions for conformance and R&D.

AT4 wirelessâ Test Systems business has developed leading-edge technology to provide world-class test solutions to the wireless industry. The Test Systems business has combined the experience gained from 17 years of certification testing activities with advanced system designs and architectures. These test platforms are widely used in the industry, from test houses to chipset manufacturers.
The Test Systems business includes 130 employees in Malaga, who will transfer to Agilent when the acquisition is final.
AT4 wirelessâ other businesses â Testing & Certification Services and IT Services & Solutions â are not part of the pending acquisition by Agilent
