Overview

Low-cost RF tuner for DAB / T-DMB, FM and GPS applications is highly integrated and does not need external SAW filter. Integrated with LNAs, RF / BB AGC, down conversion quadrature mixers, RF / IF power detectors and Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI), programmable multiple bandwidth channel filters, VCO, PLL, and crystal reference. An RF AGC controller with built-in algorithm was designed to optimize noise or linearity performance in various receiving environment. 3-wire SPI or I2C can be used for easy communication between base-band chip and RF tuner.

  • Integrated DCXO eliminates the need of bulky and expensive VC-TCXO
  • Built-in algorithm of self controller RF AGC with internal sophisticated RF/BB and RSSI and RF AGC for linearity and sensitivity optimization
  • Built-in algorithm of self controller IF AGC for GPS mode, also suitable for DAB/FM mode ( optional)
  • Dual control modes for internal IF PGA gain settings: digital control by I2C or 3-wire SPI and analog voltage control generated by filtering PWM signal.
  • On-chip automatic self-calibrations including AFC, Filter's bandwidth adjustment
  • Digital controller power saving modes for best power efficiency
  • Digitally adjustable baseband and IF output common mode voltage levels
  • Integrated DC-offset cancellation circuitry
  • Fractional-N synthesizer with fully integrated VCO's and partially integrated loop filter
  • Complex channel select filter for sufficient image rejection
