Synopsys ZeBu Server Emulation System Selected by Konica Minolta
ZeBu Server Enables Hardware and Software Teams to Work in Parallel, Saving Months on Schedules
MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 30, 2017 -- Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS) today announced that its ZeBu® Server emulation system has been selected and deployed by Konica Minolta as their standard hardware platform for verification and early software bring-up on their multi-function printer (MFP) system-on-chip (SoC) designs. ZeBu's industry-leading performance and scalability are leveraged by Konica Minolta hardware teams to verify block, chip and multi-chip designs. ZeBu's multi-MHz runtime performance enables Konica Minolta's software teams to start software development efforts months before silicon availability.
"With the explosion of software content in our advanced SoC designs, we needed an emulation solution that supports both logic verification and early software bring-up," said Takashi Kawabe, assistant manager, Architecture Development Division, IoT Service Platform Development Operations at Konica Minolta. "Synopsys' ZeBu Server emulation system provides the verification and debug features our hardware designers require, as well as the multi-MHz performance our software teams need to get our products to market sooner. ZeBu is now a mandatory tool for all of our SoC designs."
Synopsys' ZeBu Server emulation system delivers the industry's highest performance and scalability, enabling faster verification and early software bring-up of complex SoC designs. With its small footprint and low power consumption, ZeBu's ease of scalability makes it adaptable to emulation farms of any size.
"SoC design and software teams increasingly require more and faster emulation capacity to meet aggressive product release schedules," said Manoj Gandhi, executive vice president and general manager for the Synopsys Verification Group. "Synopsys collaborates with the industry's leading SoC teams to meet these requirements, helping make ZeBu Server the industry's fastest and fastest growing emulation system."
