MIPS Technologies CEO John Bourgoin Confirms Year-End Retirement

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - December 30, 2009 - MIPS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MIPS), a leading provider of industry-standard processor architectures and cores for home entertainment, communications, networking and portable multimedia markets, today confirmed that as announced in July, its President, CEO and Director John Bourgoin will retire effective December 31, 2009. The Board of Directors has appointed Anthony B. Holbrook, Chairman of the Board of Directors, to act as the Company's interim president and CEO. The Board expects to announce a successor to Mr. Bourgoin in January 2010.
