International Electronics, Inc. has Selected the nRF2401A for the Revolutionary HeadOn Headset
Oslo, Norway - April, 15th, 2005 - Nordic Semiconductor ASA (OSE: NOD) today announced that International Electronics, Inc has selected Nordic's 2.4GHz devices for the HeadOn Headset. The nRF2401A with its high level of integration, low system cost, very low power and ease of use, makes it a perfect fit for this revolutionary product.
The HeadOn Headset is the smallest, lightest, and most advanced wire-free headset in the world. Its unique technology allows you to talk wirelessly for up to 80 hours without the need for heavy chargers, and provides an amazing stand-by time of three months (2,000 hours). With its secure, ClearVoiceTM Technology, it sounds as good as it looks. Weighing in at just 8 grams, this headset fits comfortably inside your ear, and comes with eight ear gels to match your ear size for a snug fit. The base unit is equally as small, making the entire unit unobtrusive, and a joy to use. HeadOn is protected by multiple pending patents, and is compatible with cordless telephones, PDAs, laptop computers, desktop computers, wireless radios, and walkie-talkies.
"The HeadOn is the most "must have" product I have seen in a long time," says Svenn-Tore Larsen, CEO of Nordic Semiconductor. "It is extremely inspiring to see our offering and support being utilized in a revolutionary product like the HeadOn, I expect the HeadOn to be an absolute success in the market".
"Nordic Semiconductor's nRF2401A has been an important instrument in our product design", says Shary Nassimi, CEO and President of International Electronics. "The performance of the radio supersedes our targets and Nordic's support in the design and realizations phase has been second to none. We are very pleased with our relationship with Nordic Semiconductor".
