HiTech Announces the Worldwide Availability of PLDA's Altera Stratix-II based PCI-X evaluation boards
- HiTech Global, the premier distributor of HiTech products, today announced the worldwide availability of Altera Stratix-II™ based PCI-X evaluation boards designed by PLD Applications.
The PCIXSYS2 platforms are powered by Altera’s Stratix-II EP2S60, EP2S90, EP2S130, or EP2S180. The combination of these high performance devices with PLDA’s PCI-X and PCI IP cores makes the PCIXSYS2 platforms ideal for data acquisition, ASIC/FPGA prototyping, automation/control and many other applications.
The PCIXSYS2 boards are bundled with PLDA’s Software Design Kit (SDK) and a full featured version of PLDA’s PCI-X / PCI IP Core. This IP supports a wide range of configurations, including:
- PCI-X 133/100 MHz
- PCI 66/33 MHz
- PCI-X 133/ PCI 66 MHz
- PCI-X 100/ PCI 66 MHz
- PCI-X 100/ PCI 33 MHz
“Successful and rapid integration of PCI-X technology requires mature, proven, and reliable solutions, expertise, and tools,” said, Cyrus Merati, Sr. Marketing and Sales director for HiTech Global Distribution. “Availability of such packages through PLDA and HiTech Global has positioned us to become an undisputable source” – he continued.
"This PCI-X based board is build using our verified and field-proven PCI-X IP core, the best-selling PCI / PCI-X IP on the market today (PLDA has been ranked #1 worldwide for PCI/PCI-X IP sales),” said Eric Esteve, Marketing Manager for PLDA. “We are very confident that this new product will get a wide market acceptance, and help the designers to go faster and further with their PCI-X developments” – he added.
