ASICLAND Expands CXL Controller Development Contract with Primemas to USD 6.5 Million

  • Contract term extended to support advanced technical specifications, enhancing completion of next-generation CXL 3.2-based chiplet SoC
  • Collaboration enters a stable execution phase, emerging as a key project addressing global memory and AI markets
  • Development scope expanded for strategic product “Falcon-1” targeting data center, AI, and edge markets

January 12, 2026 -- ASIC design solution provider ASICLAND (KOSDAQ: 445090), led by CEO Jongmin Lee, announced on January 12 that its development contract for the next-generation chiplet-based SoC “Falcon-1,” currently underway with chiplet SoC platform company Primemas, has been expanded to approximately USD 6.5 million.

The expansion reflects an extension of the project timeline to accommodate enhanced technical specifications and improve overall design completeness.

This development indicates that the collaboration between the two companies has progressed beyond the initial development stage and entered a more stable execution phase. The project is increasingly positioned as a core initiative addressing demand in global memory and AI markets.

Falcon-1 is a core chipset within Primemas’ chiplet-based SoC platform “Hublet®.”

Featuring CXL 3.2 and chiplet interfaces, it is designed as a next-generation memory and compute hub, supporting large-capacity memory configurations for AI-oriented data center servers while enabling flexible integration of various hardware accelerators.

The architecture also incorporates multiple I/O ports and security features, and adopts an Arm Cortex-A55–based control processor to ensure power efficiency and system stability across both server and edge environments.

Explore CXL Controller IP

ASICLAND is responsible for key design services in this project, including back-end design, design-for-test (DFT), tape-out, and wafer processing.

The SoC is being implemented using TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process, enhancing performance and power efficiency.

According to the company, the contract expansion is not simply a schedule adjustment but a strategic step to meet higher technical requirements as the project advances toward stabilization and optimization.

Through this expanded engagement, ASICLAND aims to strengthen its track record in high-value markets such as data centers, AI, and edge computing.
