Analogue Insight IP Group Launches Analogue Insight SAFE in Portland, Oregon to Deliver Certification-Grade Security IP for Next-Gen SoCs and Chiplets
PORTLAND, October 1, 2025 — Analogue Insight IP Group today announced the opening of Analogue Insight SAFE in Oregon, a new U.S. venture dedicated to developing and licensing high-assurance security IP for next-generation secure Systems-on-Chip (SoCs) and chiplet-based architectures. The new US entity will be led by Rachael J. Parker and David Johnston, expanding the Group’s global footprint alongside existing operations in the UK, Europe, Armenia, and India.
Launched less than two years after Analogue Insight’s founding as a UK-based high-speed analog/mixed-signal design company, Analogue Insight SAFE will concentrate on security-critical building blocks—ranging from cryptographic primitives and secure boot to hardware roots of trust, anti-tamper mechanisms, side-channel and fault-injection resilience, and certification enablement aligned with industry standards.
“Security at the silicon boundary is now the make-or-break factor for trust and we, at Analogue Insight, will leverage our analog/mixed-signal design expertise to provide a new family of security IP”, said Christian Borelli, Founder & CSO of Analogue Insight and founding member of the SAFE initiative. “With Analogue Insight SAFE, we’re uniting our analog/mixed-signal performance pedigree with certification-ready security IP designed for modern SoCs and chiplet ecosystems. This is also our first official step into the US market. We want to serve our customers and leave a global footprint, expanding the US operation with world class engineers in high-speed analog and mixed signal design.”
Rachael J. Parker, co-founder of Analogue Insight SAFE and ex-veteran from Intel with 30 years of experience in analog/mixed-signal design and 12 years of experience developing Entropy Sources and Physical Unclonable Functions said, “Hardware security IP development presents a singularly unique challenge in its foundational exploitation of process nonidealities to create cryptographic keys within a rigorous and defensible theoretical framework. The robustness and security of these IPs is greatly enhanced by the blend of pragmatism and paranoia that comes with many years of experience designing AMS systems for high volume manufacturing on leading process nodes.”
“It’s time for customer to get their product certified on the latest and greatest standards with less painful process and higher quality” added David Johnston, Co-Founder of Analogue Insight SAFE and world class, hardware security design expert, author of “Random Number Generators, Principles and Practices” and “Designing to FIPS140” and with long experience developing cryptographic hardware for silicon products and development of security standards.
What Analogue Insight SAFE Delivers
- High-assurance Security IP portfolio for SoCs and chiplets (secure boot, key management, entropy/RNG, crypto engines, lifecycle/attestation, sensor & tamper frameworks).
- Certification-minded design and guidance aligned to industry standards and customer target regimes (e.g., FIPS-style validation workflows, secure development practices, and robust verification artifacts).
- Chiplet-ready security that addresses inter-die trust, provisioning, and secure update paths in disaggregated architectures.
- Integration velocity with reference designs, verification suites, and partner-friendly enablement.
Why Now
As computing pushes to the edge and disaggregated systems become mainstream, security must be foundational—not bolted on. Analogue Insight SAFE bridges the gap between performance-driven analog/mixed-signal design and defense-in-depth security IP, enabling customers to build trustworthy systems without sacrificing speed, power, or area.
