Xena by IPextreme to Power GSA Capital-Lite Resource Portal
Portal will help semiconductor startups to gain a foothold—and eventually flourish
Campbell, Calif. – October 30, 2012 – IPextreme, Inc., the company bringing famous IP (intellectual property) to system-on-chip designers worldwide, today announced that its Xena™ technology has been selected by the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) as the platform for its Capital-Lite Resource Portal.
Xena is a complete, secure, scalable platform for managing semiconductor IP and all manner of associated information critical to semiconductor companies. Built on proven technology that IPextreme has developed and refined over the last eight years in supporting customers around the world, Xena takes advantage of the latest capabilities of cloud computing to provide a complete infrastructure for managing IP with employees and customers over the Internet. IPextreme worked closely with the Capital-Lite Working Group to create this powerful portal, which provides a centralized location for entrepreneurs to be connected to a wide range of suppliers of vital tools and services from the entire semiconductor supply chain.
"Xena provides a powerful, scalable platform to connect entrepreneurs to the semiconductor supply chain in the Capital-Lite Resource Portal," said Jodi Shelton, co-founder and president of the Global Semiconductor Alliance. "IPextreme has unique experience in the industry and the ability to understand and adapt to the changing demands of the global semiconductor community.” The Capital-Lite Resource Portal can be found at https://gsa.xena-cloud.com.
The Capital-Lite Working Group’s primary focus is to help semiconductor startups improve their chance of success by providing access to new business models, partnerships, and tools. The working group comprises industry leaders from VCs; fabless semiconductor and IDM companies; semiconductor suppliers; and Finance, Banking and M&A executives. All of these supporters are working together to develop and promote expanded investment models for semiconductor startups to utilize as they continue driving innovation into technology.
“We applaud the work of the GSA in tackling such an important initiative focused on ensuring a thriving semiconductor industry,” said Warren Savage, president & CEO of IPextreme. “We’re honored to play a small part in bringing together the supply chain in order to help the next generation of semiconductor entrepreneurs.”
