Leading edge technology company in India will Design, Build and License Semiconductor IP products and Services in 14nm Technology
Hyderabad, India, April 22, 2015 – INVECAS Technologies (INVECAS), a spec-to-silicon solution company involved in complex SoC design, high speed interface and memory IPs for multiple high-volume market segments today announced the opening of its high-technology Semiconductor IP and solutions design centers in Hyderabad and Bengaluru.
Making the announcement Dasaradha R Gude, CEO of INVECAS said the facility is the first of its kind center that will design, build and license new products on leading edge 14nm semiconductor process technologies. As an ecosystem partner to GLOBALFOUNDRIES, INVECAS will enable them to accelerate customer introduction of new products on leading-edge semiconductor process technologies.
INVECAS has already begun its operations in the United States. Along with USA design center, INVECAS design service centers for IP and SoC (System-On-Chip) development in Hyderabad and Bengaluru will provide exclusive support for its strategic global partner GLOBALFOUNDRIES customers.
INVECAS will serve a variety of customers across multiple market segments, from small fabless companies with limited internal resources to large systems companies seeking to differentiate their products through customized silicon. The company focus is to offer design services for GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ leading-edge processes including 14nm FinFET, addressing multiple market segments such as high-performance computing, consumer electronics, and mobile communications.
“By combining our proven system-level expertise and GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ advanced processes, INVECAS can solve some of the most difficult challenges designers face today,” Dasaradha Gude, CEO of INVECAS added. “This partnership will enable a broader range of customers to accelerate time-to-volume of designs on complex technologies like 14nm FinFETs.”
Emphasizing that INVECAS is a first-of-its-kind design solutions company in India designing and offering IP in latest 14nm FinFET technologies, Dasaradha Gude expressed that it is a great opportunity for bright engineers and tech-savvy design managers in India to be part of such an advanced technology venture which hitherto was known to exist in a limited way in developed countries like the United States.
To achieve its ambitious goals INVECAS is investing significant dollars to create state-of-the art validation and characterization lab to qualify semiconductor IP for complex and high speed interfaces like MIPI, DDR3/4, LPDDR3/4, SERDES, etc., operating at industry-first high gigabit rates.
Talking about its partnership and its knowledge know-how engagement, Rick Mahoney, Sr. Vice President of Design Enablement at GLOBALFOUNDRIES said “INVECAS India complements our in-house global design solutions capabilities while enhancing our existing ecosystem of design and IP partners. The INVECAS team has built a strong track record of providing Design Services from spec-to-silicon for complex SoC designs in multiple high-volume market segments. It is a strong technology marriage that will help us expand services available to customers designing products on the leading edge of technology.”
Today, INVECAS customers already have gained access to a broad spectrum of services such as system design, embedded software development, SoC design and verification, and physical implementation.
In addition to traditional design services, INVECAS will now offer customers a wide selection of design IP across various GLOBALFOUNDRIES process nodes. The IP offerings include standard cells, IOs, memories, analog, and complex interface IP solutions. The center will expand the availability and affordability of qualified IP solutions for GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ leading-edge process technologies.
