Circuit Semantics and Legend Design Technology Announce OEM Agreement
— Circuit Semantics Integrates Legend's MSIM Circuit Simulator with Its Circuit Characterization Software; Combination Improves Timing And Characterization of Semiconductor IP Used in ASIC, DSP Microprocessor and High-Speed Communications Designs
Circuit Semantics, Inc. (CSI), the leading provider of modeling and characterization software for high-performance integrated circuit (IC) design and Legend Design Technology, Inc., a leading supplier of EDA software for circuit simulation and memory IP (Intellectual Property) characterization, today announced that the companies have signed an OEM agreement. Under the terms of the agreement CSI has seamlessly integrated Legend's MSIM(R) circuit simulator with its DynaCell(TM) and DynaCore(TM) circuit characterization software products.
With MSIM, CSI can now provide customers with a complete circuit characterization flow that includes simulation and RC reduction, as well as circuit characterization and timing sign-off.
"We chose the MSIM simulator because of its accuracy, convergence and speed," said Ewald Detjens, Circuit Semantics' CEO. "As a result of the synergy between our companies and our customers' requests, we worked quickly to successfully integrate Legend's MSIM circuit simulator with our characterization products."
"We welcome CSI's decision to OEM our high-accuracy MSIM circuit simulator," added Dr. You-Pang Wei, Legend's CEO. "We are optimistic that our partnership will add value to our mutual customers design flows."
Price and Availability
DynaCore and DynaCell integrated with MSIM are available now from Circuit Semantics. For pricing information, contact Circuit Semantics telephone 650-564-9100.
About MSIM
The MSIM circuit simulator includes built-in RC reduction, is highly accurate -- within 1% when compared to the current market leading SPICE simulators -- and is at least 2X faster. It is also optimized for memory and standard cell characterization.
About DynaCell and DynaCore
Circuit Semantics offers DynaCell for characterization of cell libraries, DynaCore for timing sign-off. Models produced by the Circuit Semantics tools are used in synthesis, timing-driven place-and-route, static-timing analysis, noise analysis, power analysis and functional verification. Circuit Semantics' tools target high performance ASICs, DSP, microprocessor and high-speed communications ICs.
About Circuit Semantics
Circuit Semantics, Inc. provides electronic design automation (EDA) software that supports precise, gate-level abstraction and analysis of transistor-level circuits, and accelerates timing closure for designs fabricated in nanometer process technologies.
