Wipro Technologies announces Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 802.11a MAC and Baseband IPs

: Wipro Technologies today announced that it has obtained Wi-Fi certification for its 802.11a suite of Wireless LAN IPs. Wipro is the first Indian company to obtain Wi-Fi certification.

Wipro has obtained this certification on FireFly™ platform: their proprietary Wireless LAN System validation board. This perhaps makes Wipro the first Wireless LAN IP company to get Wi-Fi certification on its own platform.
