Socle Technology Q1 Revenues Hit Record High and Year Revenues to Double Back
April 18, 2012 -- Socle Technology Corporation, the world's leading-edge provider of platform SoC solution and IC design service, announced April 11 its unaudited Q1 revenues reaching record high, a growth of more than 40% from last quarter and 50% increase YoY. The annual revenues are expected to double in 2012.
According to Socle Technology, application specific integrated circuits (ASIC) are the growth momentum and contribute 185 million to Q1 revenues. ASIC figures double Q4 result and triple the same quarter 2011. Socle's 28 nm designs are expected to tapeout in the second quarter of 2012 and power the growth. Socle Technology is now one of the few SoC design houses capable of designs at 28 nm nodes on the market.
Socle forecasts its revenues will register robust growth of more than 130% in 2012 due to the rising sales of ASIC and non-recurring engineering (NRE) designs. Socle claims to remain committed to research development, core competitiveness, and a tighter partnership with GLOBALFOUNDRIES its largest shareholder.
