Rambus Appoints Sharon Holt Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing
LOS ALTOS, Calif. - August 19, 2004 - Rambus Inc. (Nasdaq:RMBS), the leading developer of chip interface products and services, announced that Sharon Holt has joined the company as senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing. Ms. Holt was most recently the vice president and general manager of Americas Field Operations at Agilent Technologies, Semiconductor Products Group and brings nearly 20 years of industry experience to Rambus. At Rambus, Sharon will drive the company's revenue growth by continuing to foster strong relationships with the world's leading semiconductor and systems companies, as well as develop key partnerships and new worldwide business opportunities.
Sharon's arrival follows the recently-announced agreement between Rambus and Cadence Design Systems, Inc. As part of Sharon's responsibilities, she will provide guidance and collaboration as the two companies work to deliver a portfolio of high-speed serial link solutions.

Ms. Holt started her career at HP as an applications engineer and moved into various sales roles throughout her tenure at the company, having held several global sales and distribution management positions for strategic OEM accounts. Sharon graduated magna cum laude from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with a degree in electrical engineering.
