Meyer rejoins Chartered after MIPS sojourn

SINGAPORE Kevin Meyer, formerly vice president of marketing at MIPS Technologies Inc., is re-joining Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing Pte. Ltd. as vice president of worldwide marketing and services. Meyer, who spent a large part of his career with Motorola Inc., had a three-year spell with Chartered reaching the position of vice president of business development before leaving to join MIPS in September 2001 (see September 19, 2001, story). Meyer is to have responsibility for all EDA programs including alliances with design automation, IP and library companies as well as design service partnerships, and for formulating Chartered's total product solutions strategy, the company said. Meyer is to be based at Chartered's headquarters in Singapore and reports to Bruno Guilmart, senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing.
